Principal
Michael W. Devine, a licensed structural and civil engineer, is the principal contact and lead engineer for Poway Engineering Group. He is engineer-of-record for over $200 million in building and construction projects in California and his career spans over 30 years. Mike has developed a unique expertise in many different types of buildings, bridges and structures for a wide variety of projects and clients in commercial, educational, biotech, military, healthcare, and transportation. In addition to design, Devine also specializes in inspections, failure analysis, forensic investigations and expert testimony.
Prior to joining Poway Engineering Group, and after completing his studies at the University of Texas at Austin, Mike ran his own firm for 10 years and served in management capacities and vice-president of various structural engineering firms in San Diego. He also served as the seior structural engineer for a national forture 500 design-build construction firm.
