Michael W. Devine, a licensed structural and civil engineer, is the principal contact and lead engineer for Poway Engineering Corp. He is the engineer-of-record for over $200 million in building and construction projects in California and his career spans over 30 years.
Mike is qualified to design many different types of buildings, bridges and structures for a wide variety of projects and clients in commercial, educational, biotech, military, healthcare, and transportation. In addition to design, Devine also specializes in building inspections, failure analysis, forensic investigations and expert testimony.
Prior to joining Poway Engineering, Mike ran his own structural engineering firm, Devine Engineering, for 10 years and designed many significant structures for Isis, Cbiz, Paychex, Invitrogen, Nokia, and other large corporations in California.
After completing his studies in Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, Mike worked for firms in Texas and California and also served in management capacities and vice-president of various structural engineering firms in San Diego. He also served as the senior structural engineer for a national Fortune 500 design-build construction firm.
